Figuring out content Creation

I decided to make more content to promote my music. I don't feel comfortable; I don't like it. I think the idea of genuinely sharing something that you like to do, a skill you are learning, or the talent you have is being covered by the ''follow the trend " courtin. Now, even if you are posting something aparently simple, it was edited on purpose to capture your attention. I feel uncomfortable with the idea of doing the same to share my journey as a music artist. I just wanted to create my music and share. But because of the trends, I've been pushed to create content. There are noticeable pros and cons about doing that and not doing it.

Before trying it, I was thinking about perfection:

''I need to have everything ready, in place, all the tools, and start''.

But after recording things, I was disappointed with myself, because the content was not high quality and perfect, like the content about music that I see on Social media.

One day I decided to prepare myself with all that I have to go outside and record myself without the expectation of perfection as I imagined. Another thing was that I always wanted to have someone to help me; it doesn't matter if this person is good with cameras or not, just the good desire of help.

Thanks, GOD, I found this person, my coworker and friend. I was supposed to do it with another coworker and also a friend, but the first one just had the time, at the right moment, and on the right day.

Saturday morning we met, and then we started to create content for my social media, at the beginning, I was nervous but decided to do it; even when I don't like it is a skill that I need to learn and master, and my coworker was also open to simply holding the phone or camera and start recording, which was exactly the help I wanted.

We recorded some videos, and I'm not going to lie, at first that was hard because I was thinking too much, wanted the best, high-quality, and with that mindset I compared myself to people who are way further along in a journey and process, a process that I just started with all the courage I had 2 weeks ago. What makes me feel satisfied and happy is seeing that all the videos we recorded are probably not the best, but we had fun that day, and that is also something that we (every person who is starting a project connected to social media) forgot to do; sometimes we just need to start figuring things out with a mindset of a kid playing around. That was me a few days ago; actually, that is me these days. Are you?
